2023 brought a record 66.5 billion in revenue to the U.S. gaming industry

The American Gaming Association (AGA) has reported record revenue for the US gambling market for 2023. The amount amounted to 66.5 billion dollars (over 6 trillion rubles). The figure is 10% higher than the previous maximum of $60.5 billion (5.59 trillion rubles), recorded in 2022.

2023 was marked by a record revenue of $17.4 billion (1.6 trillion rubles) in the fourth quarter. December was the most profitable month in history as the industry earned $6.2 billion (572.6 billion rubles).

The AGA also presented financial results for each sector. In particular, traditional slot machines and table entertainment generated a record $49.4 billion (4.56 trillion rubles) in 2023. Compared to 2022, the growth amounted to 3.3%. The iGaming market revenue reached $6.2 billion (572.6 billion rubles), exceeding the previous figure by 22.9%.

In 2023, the commercial gaming industry also made a greater contribution to the coffers of states and mesathan ever before. Operators collectively paid approximately $14.4 billion (1.3 trillion rubles) in direct taxes on gambling revenues. The figure is 9.7% higher than a year earlier and does not take into account additional types of taxation.
