Casino operator Delta Corp reported a 19% rise in net income

Indian casino operator Delta Corp announced that it saw strong and sustained growth in its gaming business during the quarter ended June 30. Net income was up 19% to $8.3 million (R746.9 million).

The gaming division was the largest contributor to the operator’s overall financial results. Over the year, revenue increased by 10.7%. According to the latest data, it amounted to 33.8 million dollars (over 3 billion rubles). Online gaming brought in $5.25 million (472.4 million rubles), while the hotel business brought in $2.1 million (almost 189 million rubles).

EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) in the gambling segment exceeded $13.42 million (1.2 billion rubles). Year-on-year growth amounted to 10%, and the increase for the quarter was 100%.

The company’s total revenue from the beginning of April through the end of June increased by 9% year-on-year. The amount amounted to $33.29 million (almost 3 billion rubles).
