Casino operator Genting Singapore Ltd’s revenue reached nearly S$690 million (R46.8 billion) from July to September this year. This is a 15.8% increase from the previous quarter and a year-on-year growth of 32.7%.
The operator reported a net profit after tax of nearly $216.3 million (14.7 billion rubles). This is 46.7% higher than the figure for the second quarter of 2023. Compared tohe US$6.8 billion (approximately 460 billion rubles) to modernize and expand Resorts World Sentosa (RWS). This is a casino resort in Singapore operated by Genting. The amount includes funds already spent as well as the balance to be invested over the next eight years. Earlier, the operator promised the authorities that it would allocate $4.5 billion (RUB 304.9 billion) for the expansion of Resorts World Sentosa – the RWS 2.0 project.
The operator said the investment would firmly establish Resorts World Sentosa as the most sought-after tourist destination in Asia and contribute to a strongLight & Wonder’s third quarter 2023 earnings are showing double-digit growth.
