Four out of ten gamblers have never been to a land-based casino

Online Betting Guide (OLBG), a UK-based sports betting community platform, has released the results of a study involving 1,000 gamblers. The survey revealed that out of ten people, four had never been to a land-based casino.

The reasons why players favor iGaming vary. 23% of online users worry that something will go wrong when visiting land-based casinos, while 22% worry about looking inappropriate. Another 20% of those surveyed don’t want to go anywhere or say they have no one to keep them company. And of the people who have been to traditional establishments, 15% have only done so once or twice in their lives.

A spokesperson for Online Betting Guide said: Habits are constantly changing. Online gambling sites are becoming more and more popular and their equivalents are evolving to meet new needs. If they don’t, they risk being left behind as more people around the world move to online experiences.

According to the survey, 43% of players say land-based casinos are too difficult to get into, while 32% feel more confident behind a screen. Only 16% of respondents are brave enough to gamble offline. Among the cities whose residents would most like to play in land-based establishments, London is the leader (49%). It was followed by Las Vegas (31%) and Paris (11%).
