International Entertainment buys 382 slot machines for New Coast Hotel Manila

International Entertainment, a Hong Kong-based gambling and hotel operator, announced the purchase of 382 slot machines from RGB International Bhd. The amount of the deal was more than 5.7 million dollars (473.73 million rubles). Slot machines will be placed in the New Coast Hotel Manila in the capital of the Philippines, they will complement the existing portfolio of machines.

International Entertainment’s Philippine division, Marina Square Properties Inc. operates the hotel, which was formerly known as the New World Manila Bay Hotel. The site is home to a casino run by the country’s casino regulator and operator, Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp (Pagcor). The gaming machines are located in facilities leased by the regulator. International Entertainment is responsible for equipping the local casino with equipment, including machines.

It is known that the slot machines will be picked up from Sydney, Australia. The first batch of 200 slots should arrive within four to eight weeks of RGB receiving confirmation of the order. International Entertainment says the second batch of 182 slots will arrive in 12 to 18 weeks.

The Hong Kong operator commented, Some of these (existing slots) have been installed for many years. To enhance the prestige of the entertainment equipment in the hotel premises, some games may need to be upgraded and some slot machines may need to be replaced.

International Entertainment also stated, Due to the global relaxation of COVID-19 travel restrictions, the tourism industry in the Philippines has begun to recover. The group is ready to expand its slot machines at the hotel premises in order to attract and serve more visitors as well as increase the group’s revenue from the gambling business.

Of note: Canterbury Park Racetrack and Casino’s revenues grew in the first quarter of 2023.
