Maryland casinos reported gambling revenues for the first month of 2024

The six largest casinos in Maryland have released their financial results reports for January 2024. Collectively, the establishments generated $153.2 million (13.98 billion rubles) in revenue from machines and table games.

According to the press release, contributions to the state budget from casino operations totaled $63.2 million (5.77 billion rubles) in January 2024. These taxes go to support various sectors of the economy, including the Education Trust Fund, community development, Maryland’s horse racing industry and small businesses.

Maryland’s private casinos, which offer both machines and table games, include MGM National Harbor, Live! Casino & Hotel, Horseshoe Casino Baltimore, Ocean Downs Casino, Hollywood Casino Perryville and Rocky Gap Casino Resort.

Breakdown of January 2024 gaming revenue by establishment:

MGM National Harbor received $66 million (₽6 billion).

Live! Casino & Hotel reported revenues of $56.8 million (₽5.18 billion).

Horseshoe Casino Baltimore recorded $14.6 million (₽1.33 billion).

Hollywood Casino Perryville collected $6.6 million (₽602 million).

Ocean Downs Casino received a $6.1 million (₽556 million) share from the gaming business.

Rocky Gap Casino Resort received $3.2 million (₽292 million) from its operations.

Cumulative revenues from casino operations in January 2024 did not show record results. However, Maryland’s gaming industry has shown steady growth in previous months.

Meanwhile, the Marina Bay Sands resort earned $1.1 billion in the last quarter of 2023 thanks to casinos.
