A couple from Christchurch City, who wished to remain anonymous, have claimed one of the biggest winnings in recent New Zealand history. The lucky ticket worth $33.5 million dollars (about 1.9 billion rubles) was kept in a sock drawer for several days by the winners, pondering what to do with the prize.
The woman said she was busy with housework on Wednesday night, so she decided to compare the ticket with the winning numbers announced on June 28 only before going to bed. I looked up the numbers online and started checking every line of the ticket. The winning line was right at the bottom and the numbers just jumped out at me – every single one. At first I couldn’t breathe – I was almost choking, the woman noted.
