The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has released the industry’s financial figures for the 2022-2023 fiscal year. Total gaming revenue totaled a record $5.5 billion ($502.5 billion). The previous record was $5.04 billion (460.5 billion rubles at current exchange rates) in the 2021-2022 fiscal year.
Tax deductions also increased due to increased revenues. The figure rose from $2.16 billion (over 197 billion rubles) to $2.3 billion (210 billion rubles). This is also a new record.
For 2022-2023, slot machines brought in revenue totaling $2.5 billion (228.4 billion rubles). The largest share came from Parx Casino in Philadelphia – $389.9 million dollars (35.6 billion rubles). As for table games, total revenue reached the mark of 974 million dollars (almost 89 billion rubles). The leader among casinos was Wind Creek in Bethlehem with $236.7 million (21.6 billion rubles) in this segment.
The iGaming market set a separate record as total revenue totaled $1.5 billion (137 billion rubles). Hollywood Casino in Grantville had the highest at $648 million (59.2 billion rubles). In second place is Rivers Casino Philadelphia with 330.8 million dollars (30.2 billion rubles).
