Swedish regulator grants B2B licenses to providers Blueprint Gaming and Wazdan
Gaming content providers Wazdan and Blueprint Gaming have received permits to operate in the Swedish market from the local regulator, Spelinspektionen. The products of these studios are very popular in the country.
Note that having a B2B license issued by the Swedish Gambling Authority is required as part of new regulations coming into effect July 1, 2023. The move is aimed at ensuring that organizations that distribute content in the country operate in a regulated marketplace.
Wazdan CEO Michal Imiolek said, We are very happy to receive B2B provider approval from the Swedish Gambling Authority, and we thank them for a quick and smooth process. It also serves as a testament to the consistent hard work of our compliance team. The Scandinavian market is important to us, and we have been an active supplier in this region for some time now, so we are excited to continue entertaining Swedish players for years to come.
Blueprint Gaming Chief Operating Officer Thomas O’Halleran said: Sweden is an important territory for Blueprint. So we are naturally happy to reaffirm our continued commitment to supplying games to this region. This new endorsement allows us to continue to grow and develop content that Swedish players will continue to enjoy and return to.
The Swedish Gambling Authority is the regulatory body responsible for the safety and legality of the gambling market. Spelinspektionen reports to the Ministry of Finance, and the board members are appointed by the government.
Previously, the Swedish regulator granted licenses to a number of other suppliers, including SkillOnNet, Yggdrasil, Relax Gaming and SYNOT Games.
Meanwhile, a Survation poll showed that most Britons expect significant reforms to the gambling sector.
